Project Description

The largest single-video screen in the world — the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas — needed a reboot. Enter Watchfire Signs, which was selected to complete the 140,000-plus square foot, $30M project.

Bodine Electric’s wholesale division distributed electrical components for the project, including Eaton circuit breakers, Micron transformers and Ensto enclosures.

Installation of the new 16-million pixel video screen began in May 2019, with scheduled completion by end of year. In total, the signage will be more than a quarter-mile long and 97 feet wide. It’s 90 feet in the air, and comprised of 64,000 modules built into 1,054 subframes.

Bodine began its involvement with this project in mid-2018, evaluating CAD drawings and facilitating meetings with Watchfire engineering and product manufacturers. After quotes were provided, initial orders were processed later that year and continued until final deliveries in July 2019. By the end of the project, Bodine supplied more than 100,000 components for the Fremont Street project.
