The Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center opened in October 2017, providing an additional police training facility in Illinois. Bodine Electric’s work on the project included:

  • Lighting controls
  • Distribution
  • Interior, exterior and site lighting

The facility on the south side of Decatur, made up of two buildings spanning more than 30,000 square feet, can house more than 80 trainees, and includes dormitory-style rooms, classrooms, training rooms and an indoor firing range.

The Howard G. Buffett Foundation donated $15 million to fund the project, according to the (Decatur) Herald & Review.

Bodine Communications installed structured cabling, a phone system, audio/visual systems and CATV for the project.
